Power Query, Power Pivot ja Power BI super training increases the efficiency of the participants into a completely new level. Microsoft has used the prefix Power for a reason when naming these tools because they are total game changers in Excel efficiency. Training is meant for people who use Excel as a primary tool in their work and who are interested in learning new and better ways to perform in their work. The training is very intense and optimal participant count is less than 6 persons.

Power Query is a functionality in Excel which allows the user to handle large amounts of data and modify that data so that it is useful for user's reports. Power Query can automate almost all the repeating tasks in Excel so that the time taken to update reports can be reduced from hours to minutes. It is also used via a very easy-to-use user interface so that anyone can learn the basics in just a few hours, unlike macros which are difficult to learn and often very unstable. If you like Excel, Power Query may change that relationship to love.

Power Pivot on the other hand is a tool that allows users to create relationships between different tables, apply formulas and then analyze the data in an Excel pivot. This allows the user to create a model where there is a separate data file and then multiple master data files. Power Pivot uses very efficient data compression method and can thus include much more data than a normal Excel file and still be distributed via email. Power Pivot brings business intelligence capabilities into Excel. If you need a table to analyze the data, Power Pivot is the best choice - if you want to create visual graphs, then you should go for Power BI.

Power BI is not a part of Excel unlike Power Query and Power Pivot, but a separate tool. Still, it is part of the Microsoft Business Intelligence tools and functions quite a lot like both of the previously mentioned Excel tools and is quite easy to learn based on the experiences from them. With Power BI, user can create advanced graphs and dashboards which are not possible in Excel.

- Morning will be theory training with exercises (How to access, User Interface, Walkthrough of the key functionalities, Relationships and model logic, Basics of M-language and DAX-language)

In about 1-2 months, each of the participants has a possibility for a two hour one-to-one coaching session with the trainer where they can find answers to open questions that have arrived when using the tool or get further training & tips to continue learning. Becoming Excel super user -mentoring program is meant for someone who have or will have Excel as their primary tool in work. Program contains start meeting, six face-to-face training days (each eight hours) and a closing meeting. If agreed commonly, part of the face-to-face meeting can be done remotely and possibly be split into shorter parts. In the start meeting we analyze the beginning level, agree on the target level and on the focus of the program between the mentee, their supervisor and the trainer/mentor. In the training meetings we go through different work tasks and find ways to utilize Excel in a more efficient way in those and learn new Excel functionalities and go through cases on which they may be useful. We will also create new reports and other workbooks that utilize the newly learned functionalities. In the closing meeting we analyze the mentee's reached skill level and compare that to the target level, analyze how the targets were achieved and what could be next steps on the learning.
